Stress Less @ the Library on Reading Day Posted on May 13th, 2024 by

Street Less at the Library poster for finals 2024The Library is hosting activities on Reading Day, May 17, for students to enjoy as a way to relieve some of the pressures that come with the end of the semester. We hope Gusties will join us and take advantage of the many ways you can Stress Less @ the Library this finals season:

Meditation
Feeling Stressed? Anxious? Disconnected? You aren’t alone. These are stressful times, both in the world at large and on campus. Studies show that just a few minutes of meditation can help reduce stress, improve our sense of connectedness, and help us sleep better.

Interested? Join librarian and meditation teacher Julie Gilbert for a drop-in session at the Library. We’ll meet for 20 minutes at 2:00 in the Special Collections and Rare Books Room on the main floor. No experience necessary. Come as you are.

Tea Cart & Treats
Take a break and come and enjoy some tea and treats on us.

Puzzles, Coloring, Magnets
Relax with puzzles and coloring sheets. Take home a magnet with an inspirational message!

You can also Stress Less @ the Library by coming here to study, meeting group members to complete a project, or getting help from Librarians for any of your last-minute research needs. We are rooting for you as you wrap up the semester!
