Book Swap! Posted on December 15th, 2015 by

hold tea cupThe library is hosting a book swap on Wednesday, December 16 from 10am – 4pm on the main floor of the library for the entire campus community. Look for the beautifully decorated table near the front doors. We will also be serving cocoa and tea starting at 10.

What is a book swap, exactly? Good question! Book swaps are meant to facilitate the…well..swapping of books. If you’ve got magazines or books that you’re no longer reading, drop them off at the table and browse the materials others have brought to swap. Take home whatever looks interesting. (No textbooks, please.) And, even if you don’t have materials to drop off, you’re still welcome to browse the table and take home materials. (You can always bring them back at our spring book swap.)

We know from past research that Gusties love to read for fun but rarely have time to do so during the semester. The library is always looking for ways to help promote fun reading (we wish we had more time to read, too!). The book swap is one of the many ways we’re hoping to connect people with recreational reading.
