- On the first floor, near Government Documents office, we have a display focused on the Department of the Interior’s Federal Indian Boarding School Initiative study released in May. It’s goal is “to examine the scope of the system, with a focus on the location of schools, burial sites, and identification of children who attended the schools.” These schools included 21 sites in Minnesota. Along with information from the report, a selection of titles about the history of boarding schools and individual experiences are displayed.

If you’re in the library, stop by and borrow one of these titles to read over the break!
