Honoring our Senior Student Employees Posted on May 14th, 2018 by

Whenever you walk through the Library, you see students. Studying, researching, browsing shelves, socializing…sometimes even napping. We hope you’ve also noticed an essential group of students who are working at the front desk, or the AV desk, or shelving books. Other students are behind-the-scenes, helping to order and process books and other materials. These are our student employees and the Library could not operate without them.

At the end of this academic year, we want to honor our senior student employees in particular. Each graduating Library student employee has a book dedicated to them in their major or area of study. The books are currently displayed on the New Book Shelves near the entrance. Each book has a gift plate with the student’s name and major on the inside cover.

Thanks for all of your hard work, seniors! Best of luck in the future and keep in touch.

Great idea! As you mentoned, the library couldn’t function without the critical work provided by student staff. Plus, the enthusiasm and humor they bring with them add so much to everyone’s lives. What a wonderful way to thank them for being themselves!
