Most of us have heard the stories. Many of us lived through it. Twenty years ago, a tornado struck the town of St. Peter and surrounding areas, causing widespread damage, including to campus.
To mark the anniversary, the College & Lutheran Church Archives is unveiling a new display documenting the 1998 Tornado. Displayed materials include memorabilia from clean-up events, news clippings, photographs, and a shadow box of commemorative items.
This 20th Anniversary Commemoration Display can be found on the library’s main level. In addition, you’ll find a display-within-a-display showing images of the 1924 Tornado that impacted both campus and downtown St. Peter.
