Disappearing Documents Posted on October 2nd, 2013 by

census Due to the federal government shutdown, a number of websites are currently unavailable, including American Facfinder and other data from the Bureau of the Census. Other sites, such as PubMed, are running but with minimal staff. Links to government documents in our catalog may not work. Contact with people is also affected as offices are closed and 800,000 employees are furloughed. For more information about what is affected by the shutdown, see USA.gov.

If you need information that has become unavailable, check with the librarians at the reference desk. We may be able to help you find a page that has gone dark using the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine – or may even have the information you’re looking for in print!
