In case you wondered why a smiling librarian is always sitting at a desk out in the middle of the library, we thought we’d try out a new sign.
We mocked this up on paper after debating typefaces. (Team Serif won.) If we find that it helps people realize we’re not just faculty without offices looking for a place to work, that we’re reference librarians who are happy to offer expert research help, we’ll get something more permanent in place.
