Monday is Constitution Day. Browse our display in the library, check out our guide to information about the Constitution, and pick up a free pocket constitution (thanks to our Government Documents department) in the library.
This year, you’ll also have an opportunity to attend a special event sponsored by the Communication Studies department’s Deliberation and Dialogue program, WHAT IS THE ROLE OF CITIZENS IN AFFECTING CHANGE? In an era when we all seem to talk over each other and polarization seems impossible to overcome, this process of deliberation and dialogue offers hope that we can find ways to bridge the gap and participate in making the changes we want to see in the world. Be there – the Heritage Room, Monday September 17th, 7:00 pm – to see real communication strategies and democracy in action.
