Hot or Cold? Library Books and Their Environment Posted on September 16th, 2015 by

shiverThe library temperatures fluctuate a lot, especially during the fall and spring seasons.  While we always hope by making a thermostat adjustment it will solve the problem, we have to be conscious of the environment of our books.  They need certain dryness and stable temperatures so mold or other pests do not wreck our paper books.  If you find an area too cold or warm to study, please move to another study area where you will be more comfortable.  Better yet, carry a sweatshirt with you when you study in the library!
